Welcome to the 2009- 2010 school year!!!

Discipline Policy

Classroom Rules:
1.    Be in class and seated in assigned seat when the bell rings.
2.    Follow all rules and regulations outlined in the Southwind High School handbook.
3.    Respect yourself, your teachers, and your classmates.
4.    Be honest in all words and actions.
5.    No food or drinks allowed in lab.
6.   Follow Shelby County Policy as outlined in the student handbook

Classroom Procedures:
1.    Enter class quietly and login to your computer workstation
2.    Look at the wall where bell work will be projected and start working
3.    If you are late, you must sign in on the Tardy Sign-In sheet on the table
4.    Turn off your monitor when Mr. Abplanalp is giving instructions
5.    Log off your workstation before leaving class

Consequences for Negative Behavior:
1st  Offense – Verbal Warning & Meeting with Mr. Abplanalp after class.
2nd Offense – Phone Call Home & Meeting with Mr. Abplanalp after class.
3rd Offense – Referral to Discipline Office.

Conduct Grading:
E (Excellent) – Excellent Class Participation, no tardies, exhibits excellent role model behavior
S (Satisfactory) – Good Class Participation, no more than 2 tardies,
N (Needs Improvement) – Multiple meetings with teacher, multiple tardies
U (Unsatisfactory) – Office referral, multiple tardies, OSS
